EZ-Pass

City officials or former city officials abuse their power regardless of what the law may be. But having the option to freeload for life is obnoxious. According to the Daily News, former and current employers of the MTA have access to free EZ-pass: For Life! And guess whose paying for it? Us! the taxpayers. The MTA spokees person has said " it was a token of appreciation", if the MTA wishes to show appreciation why not just buy the chocolate and flowers or a simple Metrocard? Instead they've received EZ-pass which could be worth thousands of dollars a year, but it's not as if they've got one, some officials have revieved up to 12 EZ-passes. Most of these people involved happens to be millionaire, so why bother freeloading off the people? Because it's free and no one bothered taking action against it!

Money for Education!

There's millions of people in this country who doesn't have a simple high school diploma or start of finish college due to financial difficulties. But our government doesn't do anything to protect our future generation or the future of America. The government needs to do something to keep this people stay in school or get some sort of educational diploma. College tuition this days are only going up, not down even thought the market is going down by the day. Working class families tends to receive more aid than upper class people, but even with aid it is still very difficult to send a child to college. Education is something everyone should have and should not take for granted if it was offered it to them, but receiving and education should not scare people of being in debt because that is exactly what is happening. After getting out of college people are in debt for thousands of dollars, which takes years to pay back fully: not to mansion the interest. The government has money to spare, but it's not. Instead they're using our money to send it over the sea and spending it on useless things.

Tax Cut???

Tax cut, that sounds like a relief, rite? Not! Well Yes, but that is only if you are making millions a year. But as for us, the working class or the middle class the good news is just not happening. The Bushe's administration had decided to cut taxes for the wealthy people. "Reward wealthy Americans and Republicans's party supporters at the expense of the poor and the middle class. the wealthiest American's barely make up 1% of the U.S. taxpayers population, how ever they earn about $25.4 billion total of dividend for U.S. taxpayers money. So basically if I understand the concept correctly, we are paying rich people to get even richer by the year, despite the fact that they make more money thatn us and they only make up about 1% of the population. And yet they take back almost 25% of the money in tax return. According to the Bushes administration the tax cut for the wealthy suppose to help us some how. Not exactly sure how, but over all it suppose to help us! I mean the basic math would be, if no money is coming up but the money is going out, that would be putting us in debt, but in this case more money would going out of our pocket.

Veterans

Veterans who came back from the war on Iraq deserves to receive some extra care or better recognization. After all they are out heros and fighting a war whic has no purpose behind it, as far as i as know. So how is it that when they come back, but they are not receiving any special help or funding? the repunblicans believes that a "troop funding bill should fund the troops only, not the Veterans" said by John Beohner, according to the N.Y.Times. they believe in a war but not willing to support the people who are actually fighting the in the war. that is a bit hypocretical in my taste. But dispite it all, a bill was passed for the amount of "$52 billion over the next 10 years". Which is almost little less than 3 months worth of money being spent in the war on Iraq as we speak. But the $52 billion will serve our service mens for a decade after they come back, much better way of spending than to spend it all over 3 months, if you ask me. So why is there a hesitation about this topic when more should be done for them regardless!!!!

Are we paying to kill our own sons?

As the days goes by the number of death report seems to be getting larger by the months. We have sent our sons and daughters to a foreign country to " fight evil ", well that's one of the reasons we were told by our government. We had gone there with a motive of " Stopping Iraq from becoming a nuclear threat: to the World ", now that none is found, suddenly our motive has changed into " Spread democracy ". We are spending billions and billions of dollars to hear news like " bombing has killed 5 U.S. troops " or " innocent Iraqi civilians were killed....". 50 U.S. soldiers were killed in the month of April, record high in 7 months sense September, whereas 65 U.S. troops were killed and many were badly wounded. Not to leave out the Iraqi ( whose land we happen to be fighting in and fighting against ). 1,080 Iraqi civilians were killed that's about 36 people every a day, less than the previous month, 1,269 people. Going to war has cost us money, staying there ( where we are not even welcome ) is costing us even more money and more lives of our soldiers. Everything, which are being supplied to our soldiers is costing big money and the dignity of this nation around the world. Why are we fighting, at this point i am not even sure if the man himself can answer that question: Mr.President. The money we are spending can be used for better causes then to play the " World Police ". We can turn our economy around, make the U.S. a better to than to continue this foolish egocentric war, killing people, and destroying our own economy. It's about time out troops come back home, where they belong!

Budget Cut???

New York city is known to be the capital of the world. This city is rich, because we pay a very high tax to live here, and keep the city the way it is. So why is our money ( tax money ) being put a side for a rainy day, not to mansion the being which is being cut off and being put aside is the same money that is being cut of from schools budget cut. Money for education, to educate us and the generations yet to come. Sum of $450 million has been cut back form the education department for the city. Which means schools will be more crowded, worse learning environment than the one already exists. After school programs will be cut off, negative out come can be expected . How: instead of the kids being active in the community or school related stuff, they may go out and get themselves involved in wrong activity. If the city is saving money for a rainy day by cutting back on out children's education, than a rainy day is a promise waiting to be kept! Because this budget cut will only bring negativity to the incoming classes. And without the proper education it will he harder for the next generation to compete with rest of the world whom are catching up to us. So why is the city cutting budget on such an important matter??? Who the mayor is not being kept responsible for such an idiotic move???

Congressmens

Million dollar, that's a lot of money, $800 million is even more. Usually when a project is dropped, the Congress needs time to study them , and depending on how valuable the project may be, you would get that amount of money from the government ( our money ). But on the week of Dec. 19th 2007, 298 projects costing $800 million, were dropped in at the last minute, leaving Congress virtually no time to study them , so as a result they gave away money to support the causes of what ever the project might be about.

So just how important this projects are, that cost so much of our hard working money?
A bridge was asked to be made in Nowhere, Alaska connecting an island: Population 80 people.
Another one would be, " $853,000 earmark for coffee and cocoa production in Maryland."

Some homeland securities projects were only identified as locations of the cities, such as:" St. Joseph, Mo. gets $1 million. Detroit gets $1.6 million" but for what????Congress failed to ask, may be they should ask, hows our money being used, instead of finding new ways to tax us.
